Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data 7th Fragrances LLP, trading as Rumah de Parfum ("we", "us"), collects when you visit rumahperfumes.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, phone number, email address, delivery and billing address, the items you ordered and your choice of payment method. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the payment method used and, for cards, only the last four digits. We never receive your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN.

When you contact us: the messages you send us by WhatsApp, email or Instagram, and the phone number or account you use.

When you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address.

When you write a review: your name, the review, its rating and any photos you add.

When you browse the Site: your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, the pages you visit and what you add to your cart. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

Why we use it

To process, ship and deliver your order, and to handle returns and refunds.
To send order confirmations, delivery updates and replies to your questions.
To prevent fraudulent orders and payments.
To send you our newsletter and offers, only if you subscribed. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.
To understand how the Site is used and improve it, and to measure and show our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the store, and only as much as each needs:

Shopify: hosts the Site, the checkout and our order records.
Razorpay: processes online payments and cash on delivery advances.
Courier partners: receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
Judge.me: collects and displays product reviews, and may email you after delivery to ask for one.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram): the Meta Pixel on the Site records visits and purchases so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
WhatsApp: carries the conversations you start with us.

Some of these providers store data outside India. They are bound by their own privacy and security terms. We do not sell your personal data.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies to keep your cart, remember your preferences, run the checkout, understand how the Site is used, and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site and checkout may not work properly without the essential ones.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and other data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you;
correct or update it;
erase it, where we are not required by law to keep it;
withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.

You can also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity. To make a request, email info@rumahperfumes.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use the security provided by Shopify and Razorpay, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and PCI-DSS compliant payment processing, and limit access to your data to the people who need it to fulfil your order. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
